Googled like mad, apparently I can't select all text like I should with the CAP key + scroll? Driving me crazy -- want to be able to delete message body quickly but can't. Using 4.2 OS (doesn't look like 4.5 is available for Rogers yet).

Are you using the 7290 still, like your profile says? I don't think there is a 4.5 OS for that model anywhere (and don't think there will be).

Have you tried a battery pull?

No dice. Mind-boggling... just so I'm doing it right, how would one select all text (i.e. like Windows CTRL-A) in a Compose Message screen?

Hmm. Well it works as advertised, but only in the new text I type in, not within the text of a prior message -- i.e. if I choose to forward a message, I can't select any of the text in the prior message(s) using this method. Please tell me there's a workaround for this; there's gotta be a way to delete or clear the message body.

If I may suggest, do an OS upgrade if you're still using 4.2 OS.

I'm not having problems selecting texts with my 8700 via Num+scroll OR Cap+scroll - whether in new message or old message.
