Is there a free navigation application for the BB 8900 Curve? I now have the Google map install and while it's nice and it's free, it does not have voice for every turn. I'm looking for an audio capable free navigation application for every turn.

You could try amAze. It was slow on my 8700 but may work great for you.

I recommend both Amaze and Gokivo. Both are free and work pretty well. Gokivo has some additional capabilities like remembering where you parked and can call info from your address book. By the way look out for Google Maps Navigator for blackberry soon.

I just finished watching the Google Map Navigation application and it looks interesting. However, it sounds like this app. will only work with Google Android OS. If that is true, that means it will not work on BB, correct?

According to this site, Gokivo is not free. Only the trial is free.

This site shows that amAze is not free either.

You can try Nav4All. It's a free application but uses online maps. Just google for it

Your right.....but I have had it for about 2 months, and haven't payed a dime. I tried Amaze, and found that for new users, you have to pay for it...

I have been using both free for a long time. By the way Gokivo just upgraded look for it at Blackberry App World.

It was free when I used it, but sometimes companies start to charge when the product is ready and demand is high. However, it sounds like you can continue free after trial period. Some features will be lost, or you may have adds.

I've been using Google Maps, free runs smoothly. Runs as quickly as it can over EDGE, traffic, directions, great for searching for locations.
I actually trust it over the garmin gps i have in my car. hahaha
