Ok I just started using the blackberry 7130c and I have one major problem. I have my work email forwarded to my blackberry address and I have the reply to address set as my work email. Now I also want to have my personal gmail account forwarded to my blackberry address (instead of setting up another mailbox on my blackberry) but the reply to field is still going to be my work address.

I guess my question is, is it possible to have an SMTP ONLY profile so that whenever I get an email that was sent to my gmail account, i can also respond with an email that has a reply to address to that same gmail account? I dont want to send personal email with a reply to address that is my business address. Any suggestions?

Not sure if Cingular has updated to BIS 2.0 if they have request to have your account upgraded, BIS 2.0 allows for multiple sent addresses.

set up your Gmail account using POP instead of forwarding - then you can reply using your Gmail address

if you forward it you'll always reply using your work address

Cingular now offers BIS 2.0 as an option to previous users of 1.8 and manditory for new users. To transition, all a 1.8 user has to do is log on to their cingular BIS account and click the Yes button when asked. Careful though, there is no going back.

I would do that but sometimes my emails don't show up with POP.

you can have both
-forward your mail to your bb.carrier.net address
-poll your gmail with BIS

The thing, is use the FILTERS in your Gmail account setting in BIS (not gmail options) to block any outgoing email that are NOT filtered - and do not put any other filter. So the acnt will be available, but no email will be transfered to the BB.

But, for replys, only the account that received the email can be sent from - you cannot change (in replys) the acnt which the email will be sent.
