Not at the moment. We do not package beta apps for DM. But I think I will be able to give you a DM download tomorrow.

i reinstalled the sms viewer .. and also added the sms pop up ... they work great separately .. my ? is this if it has not been asked or not .. is there a way that u can combine the sms pop up and the sms viewer so when u get a text it pops up like it suppose to and when u reply to it .. it goes to the viewer instead of a normal blank screen .

The links given above are for OTA downloads only. So you need to open them on your BlackBerry Browser.

Thanks,
Ani.

Not in this release. The current release integrates Quick SMS and SMS Viewer so if you hit Q on your homescreen, you get the sms compose screen in "rich" view - smileys and templates.

The next release will similarly integrate SMS Popups & Viewer, so if you hit Reply on SMS Popup it will open the Empower SMS composer instead of the default one.

Nice work on this package. A couple suggestions:

For SMS Popup, if you click reply or forward, can you mark the SMS as read in the native SMS viewer?

For SMS Viewer, can you enable left/right swipe to navigate the native SMS list?

I don't believe RIM allows access to the native SMS API.

Well, instead of "Reply" just simply initiating a reply, maybe that one button click could go to the SMS API, open that particular message, and then initiate the reply function...

As jsconyers pointed out, for SMS RIM only provides programming APIs to Reply, Forward and certain other functions. There is no API available to mark an SMS as Read or to delete an SMS. Hence no app at present provide mark as read or delete functionality. Developers have been long demanding that RIM open up its SMS API as they have provided a rich set of APIs for Email, but to no avail till now. But we are still hopeful. If in future RIM opens up SMS APIs we will be happy to include these features.

Will look into this for possible inclusion in next release.

Thanks,
Ani.

Thanks Ani, for your responses. Keep up the good work! I love the previews when customizing the header and message areas...

Have you tried changing the background or text color?

morel - the app is compatible with international languages. What you can do is send us a debug log. Open the SMS in which you are not seeing anything and then click on the menuitem 'Debug SMS'. That will send us a log and we will be able to help you better.

Thanks,
Ani.

sent the debug @ 12:42 CET

noticed that I cannot leave the opened SMS with the "return" or "call end" buttons as usual in all BB applications.

to leave I had to got to "show native"

menue pop on only clicking the track ball. The "menue" button dont work

maybe it helps...installed the SMS Viewer in an early version and it had the same issue. deleted it and installed it again a week ago or so...

sorry my bad english

Dear All,
Good news, all three apps Empower SMS Viewer, Quick SMS and SMS Popup are now live. The release version fixes a few issues and also completes the integration of Quick SMS and SMS Popup with Empower SMS Viewer. Now you can reply from SMS Popup, or compose from Quick SMS and it will open in the 'rich' compose view.

Please update your copies to the latest version from www.getempower.com

Also, as an inaugural offer, we are happy to provide all 3 apps at a deep-discounted price of 50% OFF! Just use the coupon code BBF50off in the Shopping Cart when you order. Please note, this coupon is valid only till 23rd July 2009 so please use it before it expires.

Best Regards,
Ani.

Ouch... 15 clams for this? Even with your 50% it's still too much IMO. Thanks for the offier, but I will pass. Besides, you posted TODAY (July 18) that the coupon expired on "23rd June 2009" - that's 25 days ago. Great PR, Ani.
