Default MicroSD?

Please Login to Remove!

Does the phone cap out at a cert memory size with the MicroSDs? I see that I can purchase 4GB MicroSD's online now... Also what's the difference in Classes for them? I see ScanDisk recommends a Class 2 for this phone but that Kingston sells the 4GB modules in Class 2, 4 and 6.

Thanks
Andrew

I believe right now that 4GB cards work consistently in the Curve. Some people have gotten the 6GB cards to work, but not as consistently. Not sure about the classes.

The curve will support up to 32GB memory cards ultimately. Will takes software updates to enable this. And the manufacturers to make them

The classes only apply to the SDHC cards, the memory speed increases with class number. I'd think a class 2 would be plenty fast for a blackberry, faster ones would be nice for a bonafide digital camera.

The 4GB works on the newer OS revisions, I forget which revision added support but it's out there. I know T-Mobile has the new version sitting on the my t-mobile site.

If it helps I have v4.2.2.166 (platform 2.4.0.73) with a Sandisk 4gb SDHC card and it works great. Got it off amazon for $37.00
