2gb micro card for blackberry pearl refurb

hey guys, i just recently purchased a blackberry pearl refurb from cingular/at&t.
i'm planning on purchasing a micro sd card, but i'm not sure if it would work with an older version such as the refurb.
i've read in earlier posts that some people have trouble with the 2gb card on an older version of the pearl.
any help appreciated,
