I just did it saturday morning. I used the dll's from RIM directly. Followed the instructions in the pdf and everything worked correctly. The attachment server works with all formats except for pdf. I check under distiller's and Adobe pdf is gone.
I wish i could find some doc's telling me exactly what this thing does.

WOW. I tried going back by just reversing the dll commands and files but my pdf distiller is still not there. Awesome. I really hope I'm doing something wrong and these are not the original intentions of this Fix.

I talked to RIM support about this fix and they confirmed it needs to be reinstalled after every update, just as the documentation says. Even MR3 for SP6.

Yea. It says that in the release notes.
I wish it had a little more information on what exactly it did though.
I went from 4.1.5 to 4.1.6 to MR3 then applied the fix and now my distiller is gone. Is it suppose to be? I don't know...I would think not, but who knows..

They are saying apply the patch or go to MR5. So we now know why MR4 was only touted as a "temp" perm fix for this

I'm at 4.1.6.14. Do I need to install Maintenance 6 before installing this patch?

You're OK. But if you upgrade, you may have to re-apply the patch.
From the document -
Note: After installing the interim security patch, if you upgrade the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you must reapply the interim security patch unless the BlackBerry Enterprise Server version that you are upgrading to includes the fix.

Script worked as advertised with my BES 4.1 server and EXCH 07. Worst part was actually downloading the patched DLLs, heh.

Looks like another security patch (4) was released on May 26th.
I'm currently on MR4....so to get up to date I would need to run the MR5 update followed by the security update?

My post above ( http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...ml#post1393465) has the info you need on this one. IIRC it is MR5 then security fix 4 but you will need to double-check the doc as my brain is hurting today, sorry .

Or just do MR 6.
It's only been a few days but I've been running pretty good so far.
