is there a strategic way of optimizing battery life/use by like draining a full charge once, then keeping it charged or anything like that? I usually am near a car charger/usb/ac outlet so its usually always charged or close to fully charged. just curious if its a good idea to fully drain it once in awhile?

My habits (which seem to work well for me and others):
New BB: Charge full to 100%. Drain to 15-20%, recharge full to 100% about 2x -3x in a row. After that, let it drain each day, with topping it off anytime you get a chance, 10-15 minutes or longer anytime you are near a charger.
At night I let it charge full again.

About once a month, let it drain to 15-20% again, a couple times in a row, rully recharging each time to 100%.

I read the article about draining the battery once a month to reset the counter.
So, when they see "drain the battery completely", do they mean until the phone shuts off, or 15-20%? I've been trying to drain it for the past 2 hours and got down to 5%. It's not easy to drain this thing completely.

to a 15-20% charge. Radio will shut off at 15% which is a good place to start from.
