Hi all.
I'm using a 8820 BB, without BlackBerry services.

I'm trying to use BB Browser, OperaMini and MidpSSH, with my mobile internet connection (Orange Fr) and with a wifi connection.
I can surf with BB Browser when I'm connected to my wifi. It's the only one thing I can do.
The mobile internet connection doesn't work at all, BB Browser gives me this message: "Unable to open a PDP Context to the following APN: orange". I think it try to use the bb data plan connection.

To use Opera, you need to play with the WAP settings on the device. I cannot give you those setting for O2, but perhaps someone on here can. Keep in mind that you mostlikely will incur data charges using Opera Mini without a dataplan. That just might be more expensive than the BB plan itself.

It is far easier to get the BB dataplan, as that way everything works and you don't have to play with the settings and possibly screw something else up.

It's 15 euro ct for 10Ko. I'll use Opera very rarely and SSH is not graphic, it's just 3 or 4Ko per session.
I don't really need BlackBerry Data Plan right now.
