Default OS crashed...

Please Login to Remove!

hey Guys,

Something terrible has happend...
I was configuring my laptop to connect through the bb to internet.
i've read the the excellent faq on this website and everything looks okay.

When i hit the dial button... The led on my bb 7290 turns red... everything still okay.... and then...... the bb didn't respond to anything.....
i've tried but there was no result....

i've removed the battery.. wait a little while.. and put the battery back in...
now i get the message ERROR 507.. that means " no OS or something"

sow i've searched new firmware on the inet... but i can't get it on my blackberry with my BB Manager.

this blackberry is 2 days old... and there's no critical information on it.. sow every solution is welcome....

this bb is connected to a BES on my work...

THNX

Default

Download the latest firmware and install it.
Located and delete "Vendor.XML" on your C: drive
Connect the BB (with the 507 on it) and start Desktop Manager
DM should now find the BB and load the new OS.

Thumbs up Solution to Blinking Light and OS crash

I experienced the same problem when I wanted to upgrade the OS from v3.7 to 4.0. After several tries of unistalling and reinstall the Desktop Manager and Application Loader, I found the answer to my problem in a German Blackberry support site. They stated that you should try out a different computer to load the software into the BB. eg. I had win XP pro and that didn't work, but when I tried it on a Win 2000 OS, that worked perfectly. Try it out and I hope it helps.
