Please report back on the device you bought off ebay. As for your wife;s 8300 are you sure you got the letters UMA on the device when it was in range of your WiFi router?

AT&T does not support UMA and the 8300 does not support UMA.

its anywhere from 599 + in rogers stores so you wont find anything under that price for one...

$640 is not bad for a phone that's off contract, unlocked, and from another carrier out of the states! Yea it's $480 if you walk into a Rogers store (USD), but that's if your anywhere near Canada, and also before unlocking. So really not that bad, and without to much fuss.

I'm pretty happy with my Bold for now, but when the 8900 drops here in the states I'll probably pick it up. Expect it to be anywhere from $449-$549 without a contract.
