This looks like an excellent improvement on BB's best phone to date, the 8300. If it ain't broke don't fix it (much). The screen will get people to upgrade. One thing I thought of wrt the down economy: will there be fewer people spending $200-300 to upgrade their phones from a Pearl/Curve/8800 that works just fine, or will they just stay month to month with what they have?

Default I'll wait till the spring

I now need to see this model and personally compare it to the Bold. Played with the Bold demo yesterday and it looks and feels great. However, price is an issue to me, and not the new model with features I may use infrequently. My full upgrade is scheduled for mid April, so I'll wait and watch for now. No rush, my Curve 8310 is just fine. It's also good to note that I upgraded less than 2 years ago from the first generation Pearl, and bought my Curve after all the bugs and issues were worked out. The phone as I have now is very functional for my personal and business needs.
