Default BES 5.0 new features / device O/S requirements

Please Login to Remove!

Hi forum,

Can anyone point me to a list of the new BES 5.0 features, including any requirements for device O/S support? I've seen the "three page" BES version / feature comparison guides that have been floating around, but there are some numbers in some of the boxes, that presumably are caveats about the features, and I haven't been able to find the list of those numbers and what they mean.

For instance, to take advantage of the ability to "flag for followup" on a device, is there a particular O/S version needed (in addition to BES 5.0)?

Thanks in advance....

To take advantage of the features of BES 5.0, the devices must have handheld OS 5.0 as well. If they don't have OS 5.0, they will continue to work, just without the new features.

Got it. Are there any devices shipping yet with O/S 5.0?

Actually, that makes it easier on a lot of BES Admins to not have to upgrade the BES and all the devices are the same time.

At least that's my thought.

This doesn't make any sense. Can you clarify your point?

I think he meant due to the learning curve, RIM is giving us BESAdmin's a break until Nov.
