Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Well it looks like they are already moving beyond the Storm.

i don't like the way it looks appearance wise. Plus, by time it comes out we'll all most likely be dead.

If this device is for real and it comes out in 2010 or later 2009, this might be the perfect BlackBerry for me.

A BlackBerry Bold+Storm meshed into one unit with a square touchscreen.

Especially if it uses the clickable touchscreen technology like Storm, for the non-annoy touchscreen experience (accidental taps and mis-positioned taps become harmless with Storm's touchscreen -- eliminates a major beef I have with older touchscreen technology)

Easier panning of images, maps, webpages.
Easier clicking on links.
Easier copy+paste.
Easier zooming (if apps eventually adopt pinch-zoom)
May double as a sketchpad. (with drawing app)

For my deafness, sketchpad ithis could be very useful for writing notes as well. And I get to keep my physical thumb keyboard.

I have no idea what the attraction is to a device with both a touchscreen and a keyboard, unless it was a slider set up. The whole point to a touch screen is it gives you more real estate when you don't need the keyboard. To my mind, this is the worst of both worlds.

Wow, the perfect phone for me, the deal killer for the storm was (besides Verizon) the touchscreen keyboard, I used an iPhone for a while and will NEVER use another touch screen keyboard again, I suppose it's pretty subjective though, some people even pretend to like em'

Looks fake!

With all that screen and keyboard it would be too tall and not functional. The keyboard looks crunched.

Maybe this will be a likely replacement for the storm when your two year contract runs out. If it's available by then.

It's worked for Palm for quite a while. You have the keyboard for msgs, emails. And can touch for quick launch of apps, etc. I get your point. But theres always another side.

That's a really badly done mock-up. And if that's what they plan on having it look like, I'll pass...

If you look very closely at the picture it was created by photoshop. It looks like they used the storm and the bold keypad and created this. Its probably just a rumor!! Dont get your hopes up guys!

I would love to have touchscreen with curve qwerty keyboard in the form factor of Javelin. I think it will be a success. It has to have 3G, wifi, gps and camera too.
