No, I think you misunderstood me, or i was not clear.
I was referring to the ability & capability of the provider vs what we get on the phone (in relation to bottlenecking)
Basically, we all know that 30mbps or 60mbps (as I can see in other topics/speed test results) is available from these providers. It's just that when it comes to blackberry -keeping in mind that they are limited to 3G- we don't get to utilize the provided speeds. No matter what is the capacity/speed of the network, we get less of it, all due to the way software/hardware/system works on Blackberry. Maybe it is the compression, or maybe it is what gets tacked on to the data when it goes through BIS/BES? When you download an app, you can easily see how it pauses every few seconds, this is not due to the network speed, it is the way BB is designed, keeps checking for those "signatures" to make sure it is secure, or something like that..
I just don't want to go from one slow network'ed BB (9700) to another (9930) if there isn't much improvement to how BB handles the data. Also, would like to remind you that if you tether your BB to a laptop, you get very fast speeds, due to the fact that this data does not have to move through BB's OS or perhaps via BIS security check points.
I hope I made myself clear.
