Angry 8703e, which Bluetooth headset actually works

Please Login to Remove!

I'm on my second bluetooth headset. The first one is a Cardo Scala 500 which is supposed to have noise cancelling technology. It does not work well with the 8703. Then I got the Blackberry HS655 thinking, hey its made for Blackberry must be good. Well, it sounds great but one small problem, nobody can hear a damn thing I say. It fails to connect if the phone is in the holster on my hip, and forget about wearing the phone on the left and the earpiece on the right or vice versa, it just plain looses connection.
What the hell?
Is there a bluestooth headset that actually works good with the 8703 or is it the 8703 itself that has a terrible bluetooth transmitter?
Any suggestions are welcome.

try the Jabra BT250v or the Plantronics Voyager 510, I use both heavily as the volume on the 8703e is just downright crappy, so I can only hear and be heard using either BT headset.

I concur with both, the Plantronics seems to be the best though for hearing since it has an ear insert, and people I amtalking tocanhear me the best. I work in a retail store and we sell the largest volume of BT headsets in the Plantronics Voyager 510 model, only return I get is when there is a bad apple in the bunch, comes with a warranty though so easy swap!

I have used the following headsets all with great success (On a Sprint 8703e) -
- The Jabra BT800, my first and single best headset. The headset has a LCD built into it which gives feedback about the battery life as well as caller id (You will get the number but no name). Both functions work well. The headset also includes an updateable DSP for noise cancallation. This function can be updated via USB. I used this headset two hours a day for 18 months with no problems until the ear attachment broke.
- The Alph Jawbone (Grey). I bought this the same day my Jabra broke and have also been happy with it. You can check out all the specs and reviews easily as there are tons. I haven't been as happy as with my Jabra however it is a suitable replacement.
- The Jabra BT8010. This headset is excellent however I would not strongly reccomend it for the 8703e. It is the single best headset for a phone that supports A2DP in which you will be using it for audio playback.

I have used a couple other headsets but none compare to these three. Hopefully someone finds this useful.

I have the h350 and the h700. The h350 has less noise and static than the h700 for some reason. I have used two different h700 and if I walk into my kitchen which is on the same floor, nothing but static out of the h700. So I guess it's not just me having bluetooth issues.

Have you read the BT forum?

I recommend the Voyager 510 but fit is always a subjective matter and something you have to consider.
