I think I directed you to this sticky in another thread. Follow the instructions for replacing the .alx file with the appropriate one posted in the thread and you will get the vendor themes.

thanks, i tried those but stopped short of the alx file because of the following message which was at the bottom of the post - * Note: I have also included a modified Platform.alx file. This is for Cingular users with PTT service enabled on their accounts ONLY. If you are not a Cingular customer and do not have PTT enabled on your account, do NOT use this modified Platform.alx. The instructions for installation are the same as the BlackBerry.alx file. This *should* allow the installation of the PTT software on the handheld. As to whether or not it would work, that's up in the air.

As i am an orange user and not a Cingular user I took head of the warning, any thoughts?

just replace your blackberry.alx but not your platform.alx. Cingular users can replace the platform.alx as well, if desired.

Default All sorted, thanks for the support John

Thanks John, I really do appreciate your patience on helping me resolve that one, all works a treat now, FYI...the Vodafone theme that also came with it has seperate email and SMS/MMS boxes too....its far easier to use the BB with seperate boxes for sure!

I posted earlier today re a problem I was having with media player and BB and the difficulty I was having in getting the files to be either put in a specific place via Media player or getting BB to look for muisic files elsewhere, I posted it in main 8100 discussion....woudl you be able to shed any light on that too?

thanks again for all your help this far

Geraint
