Default backup of entire Blackberry seetings and configuration

Does anyone know a way of backing up all the settings on a blackberry 8700? i have spent quite alot of time configuring it with all my settings inc downloading 3rd party applications etc, it occurs to me if the device had to be wiped or swapped i may lose all my configuration settings......any one any thoughts on how to back up all this inc the 3rd party stuff easily??

I think the backup function on Desktop Manager will save all you settings and configurations. I am not sure it will save your 3rd party apps for a restore. I think you would have to reinstall the 3rd party apps, but I am sure others here will know.

I believe Greenberg will try to tell you to get a new leather case after any restore of settings or data, but I think others would say that is not neccessary (you're new-- this is a joke for Greenberg).

It only stores information such as Calendar and Notes and contacts and such. Also any settings you have saved. However, your 3rd party apps will have to be reloaded as Chris has stated. Sorry about that.

The last time I updated the OS, the process backed up and restored the all my OTA apps. Now I didn't do a wipe first so I don't know if the normal backup/restore will do this or not.

use desktop loader to back your bb up....should work very well....!!
