Default How to disable Email function in Desktop Manager?

Please Login to Remove!

I don't use email function in my BB. I only use the sync for contact and calendar. How do I disable the email function so it won't pop up the message: "In order for message redirection to function properly a new encryption key will have to be generated." and have to use my mouse to generate the key every single time I connect the phone to the computer. Thanks for any help you may provide .

You don't generate encryption every time you connect. You decide how often to make them. Adjust your settings in DM.
You can also adjust DM not to sync your email.

Also it sounds like you're running desktop redirector which, if you're not using bb for email You can close

Thanks BuzzBuzz for your response. When I first setup the DM, I had no idea what I was doing and probably I set it to do the Redirection, which I don't need. But how do I turn it off, or close it as you said?

I'm not an expert or anything so I could be wrong, but in mine the redirector is a separate program running independent of desktop manager. You should be able to just close it and that's it. It may be that it is one of your startup programs depending on your settings when you installed DM, jjust remove it from your startup folder in the start menu in Windows if that's the case. Let me know if this works..what's your DM version number btw?

I've just checked but saw only one program was running. That is DM. It is version 4.2.0.14. I cannot find the Redirector in Add & Remove Programs either. In the email Settings, I already uncheck the Redirect incoming message to your device option. It doesn't help though.
