Default Device performance with increasing applications

Please Login to Remove!

Guys:
I have a 8800 (ATT)
I was wondering if the performance of a BB weakens if we keep adding more and more applications ?

Depending on how many are running it will slow it down, and you can only fit so much on the device itself.

It only affects performance to the effect of the memory the device needs to run/store it.

Absolutely. To many background apps will slow down the device. Not to mention you only have 64MB of internal storage (including the OS) to install applications. When you start running out of space the device will slow down and also automatically delete messages to allow room for new ones.

Yes,

Remember that hitting the back button is not closing the application, merely minimizing it.

It is best to always ONLY install what you need/use. Some just like to load up their device with all types of junk software and then wonder why it is not working.

If you do not use it, get rid of it and you will have a more dependable phone for sure!

Also note that you can not shut down the internet, phone, address book and messages. They are always running in the back ground along with PTT if you have not uninstalled it!

If it starts to really show, just reset the device and that should clear out whatever is running in the background and start you fresh
