Unhappy help, i'm desperate!

Please Login to Remove!

I am now on my fourth replacement blackberry storm. i just recieved it from the verizon store yesterday. it has the exact same problem as the one before it, and to some degree the one before. the byte memory will be at 37,000,000 or somewhere close. i will set the phone down, and say five minutes later, i get an message saying my memory is low and i need to delete the ONLY app i have on the phone, facebook. i then go to options, then status and look at file free, and it is at flat zero. i bull the battery, the bytes come back, the phone is fine a few hours, and it does it again. this phone has NOTHING on it, a few PIN messages, texts and phonecalls. verizon cant help, they just keep doing the usual drill, which solves nothing. i can understand some memory leaking, but all of it? i always close my browser, and FB is the only app i have and it is always closed when not in use. PLEASE, tell me, am i doing something wrong? this cant be me!

You have a MAJOR memory leak somewhere. Check for installed apps... I cannot imagine that you only have Facebook added, and are having that kind of memory leak.

Another option would be to upgrade to the latest OS - go to the 95xx forum and look at the sticky to get the latest OS. It is possible that the OS that is on your phone is leaking, but I suspect you may have more apps installed that are causing the problem.

Did you do a restore from a previous backup? If so I would suspect that is the issue, something is on there causing this. I would unfortunately wipe it and start from absolute scratch. Try that for a few days and go from there. Impossible that 4 phones are doing this!

Could be a buggy OS, try installing the most recent OS for your device and see what happens.

We;ve also seen some issues with Storm devices if encryption is enabled and the memory cleaning timeout is set to less than 1 hour...nothing this major, however...

Hi Carlos,

When Verizon replaced the bb, did they replace the battery or the SIM?

Verizon does not use SIMs. It is CDMA.
