Default 8310 Auto On/off Problem

Please Login to Remove!

On my 8310 I have set it to auto turn off and on. However, when I turn it off manually (using "turn power off" icon) I get a message saying "this device is scheduled to turn on at (date) at 12:00PM". This is not the time I have enabled in the options "auto on" menu. (The time in the auto on/off menu reads the correct time that I set)

Further it turns on at 12:00PM which is not the time I have scheduled.

I can't seem to change the auto on time that it actually turns on at (and indicates in the window when I turn off the phone manually) no matter to what I do. It always shows the device is scheduled to turn on at noon (except on the options menu auto on/off schedule)

I tried re-booting w/ the battery, enabled and disabled the schedule in options and nothing seems to change.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Welcome to the BBForums.

Somewhere, you have an alert (task or calendar or alarm) set for 12 Noon. Even though set it to turn on at a certain time, say in the morning, an alert pre-set will override that.

Default Auto On/off

thanks for he reply. It makes sense, but I have no tasks scheduled at all & no calendar calendar events scheduled for today either. I also checked the alarm and it is not enabled nor formerly or presently set for noon.

Are there any other places that I may have an alert set that I'm not thinking of?

Thanks

Any third party applications?

In Options > Auto ON-Off, what time do you have it set for?

Default Problem Solved

I found the problem in a future calendar event set to notify me in advance and that was not dismissed. I dismissed the advance notification and now all is well.

Many thanks
