I have CONFIRM DELETE set to NO in my message options and DELETE ON Mailbox & Handheld set in my Email Reconciliation Options and it still prompts me for every message I delete ... Prior to the upgrade it deleted messages immediately with no prompt ... Anyone else verify this?

Mine doesn't allow me to access my address book until I reboot it at times. It's really annoying.

Just the opposite for me ... if I do Delete Prior it just deletes with no prompt. Also ... are you supposed to be able to shift/delete and select multiple items? Doesn't work for me ...

That is exactly what I'm seeing now. It did not prompt me before the upgrade.

Fixed this by going to Options:Email Reconciliation and selecting each account under Message Services and changing each to Delete On: Mailbox & Handheld.

Newbie here...So I received my replacement 7100t with the 4.0.2.49 installed which was an upgrade from what I was running on my old 7100. The problem I have is with the confirm/delete option:

-There is no confirm/delete option under my new email reconciliation menu so I always receive that annoying prompt every time I want to delete an email.

-Under general options, my confirm/delete is set to no. And in the Email Reconciliation menu, the only menu there is for Message Services.

I have spent several hours with Tech Support at T mobile and the best they could come up with is that it is another aspect of the software upgrade. But from reading other posts here, I gather that this is not the case. So far, I have downloaded and reinstalled the software, reset several times, and had the tech support do whatever they do so that I re-receive activation emails. None of these worked. Does anyone have any ideas?

PS I tried searching and this thread was the closest match, so if necessary please move to a more suitable thread and/or direct me to other posts which I may have missed that may answer my question

Try email options/general options/confirm delete = no

texasag90, berrywoes states that he has already tried that.

Fear not though, I had the same problem as you do. I can't remember exactly how I did it, but I can offer a clue. With the new firmware, the default accounts on the phone changed. Assuming you're like me and just have a T-Mobile BB plan and no BES, you'll have [email address], Web Client, and Desktop. Go to your messages, then Options, then Email Reconciliation. Select the first option (Message Services) then click it and choose Change Option. This is where my memory gets foggy... Select the one like [email address] and make sure it says "Delete On: Mailbox & Handheld." Hopefully that should work.

Thanks for the tip but I still do not have that option. You're right, I only have a plain vanilla blackberry plan, not BES.

As to your point, The Matrix, under email reconciliation there is only one item: message services. If I select options in that category, I can only toggle between my blackberry.net address and my college address; there is no web client, as there was on my old 7100t. When I asked the Tmobile guys about it, they said the web client was discontinued after the October 2 update; not sure if that is accurate or just ignorance on their part.

Thanks for the help, let me know if anyone can think of anything else.

You are right, of course. Sorry about that.
