Are you looking for Handheld v4.1? It is not available yet for any 7250.

Hey all
I'm running a 7100r on Rogers with OS 4.0.0.219. I'm willing to try the Hong Kong CSL upgrade to ver 4.1 but have a few questions:
1 - I'm running via a corporate BES. Any issues with the upgrade that may affect this?
2 - If I remove the original VENDOR.XML file for the upgrade would I not be better to re-install this file after the upgrade?

I would assume from Alltel. http://download.alltel.net/blackberry/blackberry.zip

But the 7250 already has OS 4.0

There's 4.02 out there from Sprint and Verizon, but it enables EVDO and if Alltel doesn't support EVDO, your phone will start getting kicked off the network constantly. So that wouldn't be a good idea.

Your phone will reactivate if you are on BES 4 after the load, but this is normal with any OS upgrade.

If you reinstall the vendor.xml file afterward, it may prompt you to downgrade the software to the older version once it realizes you've got odd software on your phone.

Thanks! I couldn't find it on the Alltel site, and I emailed them, but haven't heard back from them. Thanks for the warning on the Sprint and Verizon versions.

If Alltel does support EVDO, would there be any other downsides to using the Sprint or Verizon versions? Such as no web browser, or other surprises?

That's the desktop rather than the BB OS. Any idea where I can get the OS? Alltel's website is not helpful at all.

I have 4.1 loaded on my 7100t and it is working great. Now I'm trying to beg/borrow/steal a bluetooth adapter for my desktop to try and get that working. I don't have BES, so I will have limited funtionality.

They are the handheld OS versions.

The URLs for all handheld OS downloads can be found in this excellent sticky thread - http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=1871

Feel free to address all comments on stickys to the author of that sticky.
I believe you will find what you are looking for there.

Edit: According to the Bell download site, found in the sticky thread, they have not release 4.1 yet.
