Question E-mail sent to messages inbox and email inbox??

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my Pearl a few days ago, and have my g-mail e-mail sent to my phone, however I get a copy in my e-mail inbox and in the messages inbox. Is there a way to only get the e-mail sent to the e-mail box, and leave the messages box for SMS and MMS? I am sorry if this has already been discussed/dealt with...I didn't see anything. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Question Locking...

Also what is the easiest way to lock your Pearl? Do you really have to go to the menu and select lock each time?

Not sure abut the message query but if you press and hold the "sym" key, that locks the Pearl.

Thanks
Mike

mb - at the top of the General BlackBerry Discussion board - the second sticky down deals with handling sent items with Google Mail (G Mail)

There is no way to not get e-mail in the Messages folder. Some themes (see the Ringtones, Themes and Wallpapers section) allow you to break out SMS. But all e-mails always appear in the Messages folder.

For locking, you could check this thread: http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...rry-pearl.html

At the top of many of the discussion forums, there are threads that are locked into position - they never scroll down or off the page. They have been made "sticky". So they are called Sticky Threads. They generally have lots of good information in them.
