Support told me it would be fixed in SP2. No date yet for the release.

I'd like to know how you got SP1HF2 last week from TMO, as RIM has not yet released it to my knowledge, I just spoke with my TSupport.

Update. Fixes will be in HF3, release shortly, there will be no HF2. The capability to turn it off will be in SP2.

Looks like part of the APB issue is addressed in HF3 - HF3 is available now:

SDR49988 Previously, BlackBerry Service Message APB notifications were sent to users after upgrading or migrating to a new mail template.

If anyone knows of a place where Bes 4.0 SP1 hotfix 2 or 3 are available for Domino, please post the link. I don't see anything beyond SP1 hotfix 1 for Domino.

I installed Hot Fix 3 and still getting APB's. I escalated it with our RIM rep again. I hope all of you are telling RIM that this is a major issue and they need to address it immediately.

I installed HF3 (for Service Pack 1) and I am NOT getting the APBs. I just started testing though so I guess we'll see.

Our rep just told us SP2 is scheduled to be released on June 24, let's hope they can meet the mark.

I installed HF3 last night and one of my users would have got over 33000 APB's if I hadn't cleared the queue manually, he still received 94 of them and I asked him to be patient and see if any more come up tonight. The others haven't told me that they got any so fingers crossed. Most of our notes databases are over 3gb so this might be a cause also...roll on SP2

I hope SP2 will fix the problem. Last weekend our CEO received 5619 APBs and if this happens again, he will probably kill me.

I pity you guys with that many APB messages:

Well, so much for that. I installed SP1 HF3 on a test BES and the problem with the System Attendant messages seemed to be corrected. I upgraded one of our production BES's last night, and this morning everyone is still getting the messages. If SP2 doesn't fix it, I might seriously have to consider downgrading. As others have mentioned, waking up executives at 3AM with 20 meaningless messages will make you very unpopular. And no matter how hard I try to convince them, they just don't seem to care that RIM has "promised" to fix it in the next Service Pack/Hotfix/Blah blah blah. Has anyone had any luck?

I don't understand why RIM won't simply re-add the feature to block System Attendant messages--it seems like a pretty simple workaround. If our CEO was getting hundreds of System Attendant messages (ours are in single digits per user per week.. at least since HF3), we wouldn't be using Blackberrys anymore.

Are you sure you can downgrade to 2.2 once you've moved to 4.0?

That's what SP2 is supposed to do, give us the ability to turn off the APB feature just like in 2.2 I can only assume that RIM uses Exchange internally
