Smile quick question from a newbie

Please Login to Remove!

hey everyone, I just got my hands on the curve and so far i'm absolutely loving it. I primarily use it for texting because, well, i'm a teenager. I don't have any sort of data plan on it(yet), so I was wondering if having aim or msn or some sort of instant messaging application was possible. am I going to have to add some data on there to do so?
thanks for your time and help.

You will need Data plans to be able to use the IM programs on your BB. some applications use the text for each message and some uses data. but all program will require you to have Data service. hope that helped

I'm in canada, so I use Rogers. on AIM it says that you can get your messages forwarded to your phone with mobile AIM, is that basically the same thing? will it work without downloading anything and using data?
thanks again.

go to the msn settings page and set up your msn mobile settings, verify your sms number and you're set.

very intuitive and easy to set up. just do it from your msn preferences- it takes you through step by step. works great. uses sms, no data required.
