Hi all,

I upgraded my P8800 to OS 4.5, and also installed document to go. Everything is fine except that I found google map can't work in P8800 with new OS 4.5.

The download and installation looks fine, but it will be stuck when starting up the google map. The BB just died and no any error message. Is there any body else got the same situation with me? Any solution?

Does it get stuck at 90% asking for a radio permission?

Yes. I choose "Yes", and then died.

That is a known issue with OS 4.5 and Application Control Policies on BES. Read this sticky thread for more info:

Either downgrade the OS or Google map version may not be a formal solution about this. Looks like we will have to wait for somebody to resolve this issue.

You should be able to install an older version of Google Maps. I'm using 1.6.4 (I have the same issue.)

What I notice is that Google Maps 2.3.2 does not find the GPS until I start GPS service in Blackberry Maps.

For instance:

My location within 1300 meters - before I start BBmaps GPS

My location within 3 meters - after I start BBmaps GPS
