Default Pearl 8130 stuck on "activating"

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to add a new Pearl 8130 to my BES and having trouble.

I added the user, set the user's permissions in active directory. Then I hit "send activation password" in Blackberry Manager.
I got the email with the activation password so I looked into Options->advanced options but it did not have "enterprise activation" listed

so I went into the setup wizard, which allowed me to put in my email address and the provided password

anyway, it's been sitting at an enterprise activation screen for abotu 10 minutes now, saying "Activating [email address]..." but doesn't seem to be going anywhere

can anyone give me some advice?

thanks!

see that's something that I'd come across while searching, but I've never had the issue before with other blackberrys that I've implemented here. I'll have to call my wireless guy and find out if perhaps the activator didn't set it up for BES this time

when in doubt check the carrier first. if its not activating its almost always an incorrect plan. next step would be to check the users mailbox and see if they are getting the activation email with the attachment in tact.

I have the email here in my outlook (it's my personal phone this time) but there doesn't seem to be any attachment

It's been a while since I added a phone/user to the BES to I may be missing a step O_o

If you see this email in your inbox and it does not disappear I'd first restart BES services and re-try. If it does not work check BESAdmin permissions on your Exchange server.

ok so I talked to someone knowledgeable at my wireless provider, and they had in fact misconfigure the activation with BES not available

When they redid it, "enterprise activation" showed up under options->advanced options

thanks guys!
