AT&T BlackBerry Bolds in stock at Best Buy, go on sale tomorrow? : Boy Genius Report

Here is the link.

Quote:
Wexxx8217;ve got a bunch of tips on this so wexxx8217;re going to run with it. Just a word of caution? We havenxxx8217;t confirmed this ourselves yet, but we have ever reason to believe our ever-faithful tipsters. If they are correct, various Best Buy locations have already started receiving shipments of AT&T BlackBerry Bolds and they are allowed to start selling them tomorrow. We even heard demo models are out on the floor at some stores. Now for pricingxxx8230; Wexxx8217;re told the Bolds are going for $349 with a 2-year agreement at Best Buy (?) and that the full retail pricing is $679.99. Some stores will only sell them at no-commitment pricing it seems. If youxxx8217;re in the tri-state area, chances are youxxx8217;re feeling some pretty heavy winds, but thatxxx8217;s not going to hold you back from setting up shop at your local Best Buy and braving it out until the morning is it?
Thanks, to everyone who hit us up![/url]

Hmm. I thought I knew what I was doing later today. Guess that might change come BB opening.

Actually the report was written on Oct 25, which would make tomorrow the 26th? On sale today at BestBuy? Anyone seen one?

$349 with a contract and $679 without. Now I know for a fact I will NOT be getting this.

Just looked at the online add, nothing in there however, if you look at the November mobile phone buyers guide (prices good from Oct 26 to Nov 22) it says $399 with 2 year agreement! And it also does not specify a release date.... Take that back. Says $399 for a new line or new plan, $419 2 year upgrade! what are they trying to do to us?

Wirelessly posted (off to see the wizard)

They are an indirect channel. There pricing will be different than a corp ATT! If they have it an corp stores do not you either wait or pay their pricing. I'm willing to bet the pricing will come down

The bold pricing will be similar to the 8820 before 8820 was reduced

It looks like BGR is wrong, at least in my area. No Bold at Bestbuy. But for $399. I'll wait for it to come out on At&t. Hopefully it will be cheaper.

Some areas of the country have a Best Buy sales flier advertising the Bold at $399 after 2 year contract or $419 for eligible upgrades. Full retail is apparently $659.

Blackberry Bold to roll for $399 (after 2 year contract) at Best Buy?? | Gear Diary

Default Bold pricing

When ATT has announced in their press release that the Bold was going to be priced at $299 with a contract, how can Best Buy sell it at $349? What's going on with the pricing?

Best Buy is not AT&T they can sell it for whatever the market will pay. Many times after launch you will see authorized dealers like Best Buy drop it well below what AT&T is selling it for.

Indirect channels are not obligated to follow Corp pricing they purchase their own inventory and can price as the want. Normally Indirect channels price cheaper in order to attract business away from Corp locations.
