Hello All,

My BB 8830 is locked and even though I have tried to give the correct password it is not accepting, probably it is only 3 letter word. Currently it is on 8 out of 10 attempts and I do not want to lose the data. Is there any possibility that I can use the data cable and move all the data to my laptop. Please advise.

There is no way to bypass the password if you can not remember it and/or do not enter it correctly into the device.

You can try backing it up to a computer using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, but I believe that you will need to be able to enter the password to do that.

True. If the BlackBerry is password protected, you will still need the password to connect to the computer and to connect with desktop manager.
