Default Application Error

Please Login to Remove!

Every so often when I leave my phone, I get an application error.

the screen is white and in tiny writing it says "App Error"

When I am in a non signal area also it will not get a signal back until I have switched my phone completely off (by removing the battery and replacing it) and then on again ? :(

Any idea why it does this?

What OS version are you running. App Error 205 was a common problem with early Bold OSs.

Yup, that is a common problem with .162, you may want to consider upgrading.

Upgrade your OS and see if that helps - http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

No. Follow the instructions to the letter. The first step of the upgrade is a backup. The last step is a restore.

The only things to deal with are that if you are BES you need to reactivate, and you will also need to reconfigure your apps with any logins, etc.

I think your icons may need to be reorganized as well.

Not if you use the same theme. The ribbon (order of icons) should be restored properly.
If you do the upgrade while your PC is logged in to the corporate network, the reactivation will occur at the end of the upgrade.

You cannot upgrade directly via your BB browser.
You have to download and install the OS to your PC.
