Is there a trick in how to insert the microSD card and locking the holder? My card seems to be a bit bulky and the lock/unlock cover cannot lock in place.

Are you trying to put the card under the cover, or 'in' the cover. If like the pearl, there are tabs folded under, and card goes in on top of those tabs, between the tabs and the inside top surface to the cover/door. Does that help?

Sd card slides into metal bracket/lock then close it and slide bracket into locking position

Just to vent.
It is a bit of a hassle to place in.
I never remove the card.
I like the slot that's in the newer pearls.
