Default Unhappy with 7250 fonts

Please Login to Remove!

Is there anyway to get different fonts into the 7250? I dont care for any of the ones that come with the BB. Most are so thin they are difficult to see. Its better when you bold the font but would like other choices. I did notice you cannot bold the font in the browser, so I do not have that option.

Any ideas? What fonts do you use?

Try this:

BBMillibankTall/8/Bold

Very crisp and readable font, especially on higher-resolution BlackBerries.

It actually takes up about the same space as BBMillibank/8/Plain yet is much more readable, especially in dim light conditions.

Try switching to BBMillibankTall/8/Bold .... Approximately the same amount of text, yet much more readable.

At a certain age (ahem) many of us need reading glasses. So 10/Bold means I can read the 7105 without my glasses

Mark I did try your suggestion but bumped it up to 10, but considering that I was using 13 i think that is an amazing improvement. NJBB but unfortunately i still need my glasses.

Actually, I use BBMillibankTall/10/Bold a lot too. Since I also use my BlackBerry as an electronic notepad for other people - as I am deaf, sometimes I like to communicate in person by BlackBerry by handing the device back and fourth.

For higher resolution screens such as the 7100 and 8700, the BBMillibankTall/10/Bold is my favourite choice.

Mark I actually like the size 13 but the problem was that not much fit on the screen, I had really not played with those fonts much once I found it, I guess we are creatures of habit after all. However, once I tried this one at size 10 it felt comfortable enough and I have kept it, thanks for the suggestion. And here I actually thought this thread was going to be a little goofy like some others we see around but it really turned out to be helpful.

Actually now I think about it some more, I use BBMillibankTall/10/Bold much more often than any other size, just because the font is very easily glanceable, and actually ideal on higher-resolution BlackBerries. On those, 8-point starts to look too small.

However, when using MobileSSH, I do like small fonts to squeeze more screen real estate to avoid horizontal scrolling. But for reading emails, I prefer 10. Much easier to read while I am walking, since I'm often a walker-and-typer, bigger fonts easy to read while my hand bumps around a little. I commute on foot between home and work.

BBmillibank/10/plain
I find this is ideal. The bold is too messy and 8 is too small. I feel like goldilocks.

Is there anyway to change the boldness of text in the browser? There doesnt seem to be an option for it.
