Default Which Domino license is required?

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to the BlackBerries and have a few questions.

What Domino server license (Messaging or Enterprise) will be required for the server we will be installing the BES on?

We have a few Notes applications that we would like to be able to access with the BlackBerries (8830's). Will they need to be re-written to work on the BlackBerries?

Thanks for any help!

Umm.. I don't know if the Domino license matters.

As for the applications, those are written with Lotus I would assume. The BlackBerry runs on Java, so I would doubt you could use them directly.

I seem to remember one of the RIM webcasts explaining how MDS Studio could be used to front-end Notes applications - if you look over at blackberry.com for Notes developer stuff I'm sure that you'd find it. Never tried it myself, mind.

That's more a question for IBM. BES requires a functioning Domino server. You can get the cheapest Domino license available. Keep in might that you have no mailbox on this server just a process.
