Okay, has been a frantic run of the day here for us.. Of late we seemed to have been getting substantial inquiries from a number of companies who were interested in marketing our entire line of upcoming products. Looks like v0.7 showed them the potential of whats possible - compact code, tighter integration and faster performance.

And we still prefer doing what we do best - churning out code and improving things till the last bit.

Therefore, after serious thoughts about the future of Empower in face of present and forseeable competition, we have given Mobylo (www.mobylo.com) the commercial rights to our Mail Viewer. We have also negotiated 10,000 free licenses of the professional version for everyone here at BBF, PINSTACK and HOWARDFORUMS who are participating in Empower public beta.

We believe its a win-win situation for all of us here :

1. We continue to do what we love doing and are best at - churn out code and develop kickass apps for BlackBerry device. ( And kick some ass in the process )
2. Mobylo being an established company can provide better reach and support for Empower Mail Viewer.
3. Empower stays kicking and alive as before - We will keep developing apps with substantial FREE licenses for public beta testers. So all you guys, keep chiming in.

I shot an email to you guys but I wanted to post my suggestion here as well. With the ability to change the font and background color it would be sweet to have the ability to do the same to SMS and PIN messages, more fonts would be great as well.

How long does it take for Empower to contact me? I sent my email info last week and still haven't heard anything back from them. I just want to make sure I am one of the 10,000.

smooth, we are working on a release version. We will inform about it when its ready. Also, to make sure you are in - you just have to install the product OTA and enter you name and email so that we know who to send the license to.

scaevola, you just have to install the product OTA from Empower! and enter your details when you do that, so that we know who to send the license to.

Ok so I would like to know if I am part of the beta. I just signed up today and I was able to download the product but there is nothing I can change. I see the app in my applications but I have no icon in my menu. Did I miss something?

go to your inbox and hit the menu button on the very top of the menu you should see empower options

well I tried that and I still don't show that option. Does that mean that it was a bad installation?

michbb - there is no application "icon" for Empower. Its designed to integrate neatly into your existing email client You can open you default Email application and when you are at the Message List screen you will see an "Empower Options" in the menu item. In there you can set your color, fonts etc.

Let me know if you can see that? Also, what version are you on?

No I don't have the "empower options' in the menu item. In my apps it says I have version .91 and I have tmo 4.2.064 version for the pearl.

ok so I deleted the app and tried to reinstall... but after the download i get an error uncaught exception java.lang.Error but it says the app was successfully installed. Now it has the app version as 1.0.42.7 but I still have no menu options.
