I've been using a Blackberry connected to my company's BES server for about a year now. My collegue has a Storm (9530) and he recently activated his Storm on the our enterprise server; now he has a "Desktop" mail icon which ONLY display emails from his exchange account. He didn't do anything to make that icon appear; I asked other people with berrys in the company and no one else has a "Desktop" icon for mail. As far as I know, if you want to see your "Desktop" email, then you have to go to the consolidated messages folder on the Blackberry.

Does anyone know how to make the "Desktop" mail icon appear? I have a Storm 2 (9550). Thanks

Only of a BES only message icon was by performing a DB update which effects the whole BES server.. Unless it's a new feature with OS 5.0

It is new in some of the 5.0 releases. The stock OS on the 9550 (.320) does not have it (if memory serves) but the leaked (.428) does. There is also an aftermarket solution called Empower.

you can ask to BESAdmin, it is using BBdbupdate to showing icon desktop to user, if yes, ask to resend service book from BES.

if no, maybe is from the OS device of your colleague.
