Default Wifi problems

Please Login to Remove!

I got my blackberry yesterday, ive got 500mb a month of data and unlimited wifi, i want to connect to my wifi network at home to save on the data usage.

my brother has control over the wireless router and he's got it ridiculously secure... its annoying! we use mac filtering so ive given him the mac adress and he sorted that out.

on all my wireless devices i have to enter the ip settings manually because when the router does it automatically it never works. ive got my itouch, 2 laptops, nintendo wii and dsi set up with similar settings to what ive entered into the blackberry and they all work perfectly.

I cant work out what im doing wrong, heres the diagnostic report...

Its connected to the router, its failing to connect to blackberry servers because by the sounds of it, you don't have the Blackberry bolt-on.

I had a similar problem and I had to add another wireless router because of the security configuration on the router. Some security firewalls wonxxx8217;t let the blackberry into its system so the blackberry connects but cant use any of the recourses from the router. Perhaps giving you routers costumer care line a call maybe able to solve the problem.

To the OP: do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan (not just a 500 MB data plan)?

When you go to Options, Advanced Options, Service Book, do you have one that says "Provisioning [PROVISIONING]"? When you go to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, do you have an entry that says "Wi-Fi [60]"?

You need the "Blackberry Bolt-On" for web use on a blackberry.

When you say "everything works fine", do you mean BBM, Appworld, etc.? Or just web browsing and such?

I dont know if its a blackberry data plan. When I go into the options you mentioned both those things are there, provisioning and the wi-fi 60 thing.

What does that mean?
