Been using Slacker for approximately 5-6 hours now and am only down to 60% battery (Started between 95-100%). I have been playing cached stations only and have speakers plugged into the headphone jack if that makes a difference.

What a fantastic app. This must be the best secondary usage for an unlimited data plan I've seen. Been listening at work through headphones and in my car hooked up to the aux input. It has been very stable too. A couple glitches here and there, but overall very, very stable compared to other apps on my Storm.

When you tether the BlackBerry via USB, you need to enter "Mass Storage Mode" and when your media card drive pops up (the one that asks what you would like to do with the following files, etc) launch the Slacker Synch application

Has anyone from Canada been able to to install or use Slacker yet? THe website says for US only. Any way to make it work? So frustrating. This app sounds fantastic!

If so, how was your battery after?

adorkable - I have had Slacker for a little over a week and use it at work about 3 - 4 hours a day and have not noticed any abnormal battery drain. It seems to me that before when I was watching movies/video I was at 10 - 20 % battery life at the end of the day for about 1 hour of video but since slacker I have only been down to 60-70% including my normal web surfing, phone calls, and reading my Viigo feeds. Of course since the sound quality is so good, even though I could do those things with slacker running, I am actually getting more work done too. I guess I have officially become a crackberry abuser!
It's a great app as you already know.
It would be way cooler though if you could share your radio stations with friends.

I find that some of my cached stations seem to play the same songs in the same order over and over again, even after I connect my Storm to my computer and refresh them.
When listening to Slacker on my PC I don't really get this.

Can someone do me a favor? See if you get just a slight little skip while listening to Slacker around the :12 or :13 second mark of a song. It happens to me on just about every song. I'm just wondering if its something on my end. Thanks!

Just the whole shut down part messes me up, guess they dont want ya to do that, LOL

Yeah, then when you go back in it starts the same song from the beginning. They need to have it pause, then resume from the same point after the text/email noise sounds.

From my understanding, two apps can't play sounds at the same time, and when one application is interrupted by another, the first app doesn't know when the second app is done playing the sound, so it can't start back up. Setting your sound profile to phone only or vibrate should prevent that, but I have yet to try it.

I could be wrong about this, but applications that are bold in the apps list are that way because they have certain permissions set, not because they are running. If you press and hold the menu key after shutting Slacker down, does the icon show up there? Those are your apps that are currently running.

Don't worry. The manual is actually pretty worthless in my opinion. ;)

x2. I figured it was just my service being sketchy randomly since it doesn't seem to be every single song for me.

awsome app, but now I'm having a problem with my sounds on my phone since I started using Slacker. The ringer will not go off when I get a phone call, it will only vibrate. I tried the settings and restarted the phone and it still wont work. Slacker works fine and plays music over the speaker and through headphones, but no other sounds work. Anyone else have this issue?
