Are there any free programs?
Don't want to buy eOffice just to be able to type up a few quick docs.

Or should I keep typing them up on email and sending to myself?

I don't think there is anything other than dynoplex for MS Word. You might want to look into Welcome to REXwireless! ideaMartix. Once they have the web server up and running it will be even easier to get the information to your desktop.

Not sure I agree with the conection between Word and ideaMatrix. Don't get me wrong: I'm a huge ToDoMatrix fan. But ideaMatrix is not a word processor in any sense of the word. It's just unformatted notes.

Otherwise, a freebie Word-compatible processor isn't likely anytime soon. That's a complex killer app and as with Dynoplex, anyone who invents one is going to want to be paid for it.

some people don't seem to grasp this concept and think that it's a very simple and easy application to develop. oh well.

I guess I must stick to emailing it to myself and formatting it on a computer after its all typed up :/ not that big of a deal... Def a lot cheaper ;)

I just save them as neither drafts or memopad documents, then email them to myself. Or I break out my notebook computer. It has two 5 hour batteries that sees some use on the road.

What I'm thinking is that few third party apps create attachments that can be added to an email. Under RIM software, you can't attach anything to a Blackberry generated email except for an address card. So you create that functionality, then add features that will create a *.doc document with a minimum number of useful features (paragraph formatting, font choice, underlining, bold, maybe bulletting? etc.) and you have something fairly complex.
Don't get me wrong I'd love to see a freebie that can do all that also. But I haven't seen it yet.
