The correct download link should be available in the next few days.

Wirelessly posted (8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Warning to non OS 4.2 users. This may not work. Also if you are going to try it I suggest you completely remove your old version first. Also not sure if this is the Pro version.

CRS, on your links please give users instructions on removing or leaving the old version.

Kudos on going to the native apps. That was one that I constantly hung on. Trying to go to to top or bottom using shortcuts and it typing the letter. Glad that will be gone. Have you made the interface easier also. Always had a hard time understanding the color picker.

The Color picker is better. There are some quirks with using the native calendar screen, etc. What happens is after you create or open an appointment, you're left in the BB Calendar app and you have to exit once more. It's not horrible and RIM has told me they will correct that in a future release.

Default V4.2 excellent

Been a beta tester for 4.2 and I can say that the enhancements are excellent. One feature left out in the list above is the ability to look at a 7 day weather forecast in the weather section and it works great.

Sounds great!
(Am I correct that OS 4.2 is still 8100 only? Not available for 8700?)

4.2 is for the 8100 only, but is being tested for the 8700.

All, most of the features above work on all blackberries. There are some specific to the new OS to take advantage of the new functionality that the upgrade offers.

Just noticed this one. Being able to customize the section labels now is a bonus.

Thanks.

I've got to agree. Why in the world start a thread about features of a new version no one can access outside of a few of you? I've been a registered owner of this app for quite some time, so I'd love to be one of the privileged to have the new version.

Why not keep this amongst the beta testers and not a public forum? Just food for thought,,.

It's good information. There are all sorts of threads on beta software. Like v4.2 for the 8700. I see no harm in it.

I've been using PocketDay for BB since it has been available and use it daily. If you're looking for opinions on the new features, here's mine (not having used the beta):

Big plus: Calendar preview (I'd like it to show date/time of next "x" appointments from the main screen), Mark All Read, using native applications (I can't tell you how many times I've typed a response to an email and lost it using PD) and correcting the RSS feeds (just tried newsclip which is very nice and waiting to see what PD has to offer); I hope this also fixes the problem where typing while reading a news feed makes you have to go through another dialog box to cancel changes.

Nice to have: keyboard lock, more mapped applications, weather (7 day), stock index names.

The other features are not a big deal to me.

Regards-Michael G.

Default PocketDay v4.2

Is it much better than BBtoday as far as stability and features? I'm having constant freezes with BBToday and I'm ready to pull the plug on that little program.
