Just looked at the specs...
Standby Time on 3G = 14 days!

Are they really serious? Some blackberrys now can only go about 4 with no use. but 14....

hmm.

Have they done away with the LED message indicator on the front? It's hard to tell from the pics...

LED is still there. Anyone concerned about the 624mhz processor? Why not a 1ghz?

I am also disappointed in the resolution and no HD video recording - however I still plan on getting this as soon as it is available since it is the best Blackberry available - and that is what my company uses.

we fuss about hd recording, i atleast dont remember when i fully utilized my camera to the maximum benefit or when I am using my bold, did I need full 624mhz processing power as I seamlessly switch from emailing, to pandora, to google maps it handled it superb.

So whether analyzing whether do you need 1ghz or HD recording, ask yourself this first, do you need the freaking device

I don't see anything corrado said that was close to inappropriate..X_x but..

I record videos a good amount of time on my bb.. the quality would be great with HD recording. With AMOLED screens and iPhones nice screen I was really hoping BB wouldn't put a 480 resolution on their latest phone X_x.. A lot of websites I'm reading feel underwhelmed with the device :( (Gizmodo, Engadget) even though those sites consists of majority Android and iPhone fans, I still want to take that into account.

I don't know.. on the fence.. on the fence..

Changed what? From wooden shoes to Nikes? (Sorry, but I just couldn't pass that one up. You know I've got much love those big blue eyes).
I think I'm just disappointed about AT&T being the sole carrier for the 9800.

You could move to Canada and get it Robbers, er, Rogers, Bell, and Telus will all have it. And, um, Virgin Mobile, who wouldn't be at the top of my list of preferred carriers.

Yea, but then I'd have to learn a new language. Aah!
As for Virgin mobile, I can't wait to see how that one works out.

I like the Torch. I think it looks nice. And really, why does any phone need a 1 GHz CPU?

Well if you utilize that 1GHz to potential and have enough memory.. multitasking and speed will be amazingly snappy.

If the torch supported openGL that 1Ghz could be great for apps that render a good amount of 3D D: .. unless i'm thinking of it wrong..

in electronics now a days.. seem like power always delivers.. although battery life has been in a stagger. When a phone comes out that dominates battery life while still maintaining the best things a phone would need. that phone will dominate the market @_@
