hi there this is my first post in this forum. i am running linux ubuntu 6.10 and i have a blackberry pearl. i was able to install bcharge, and now my bb can finally be charged through the usb port of my laptop. now i want to install barry but when a type make install i have the following errors:
usbwrap.cc: In member function 'bool
Usb::DeviceDiscovery::Discover(Usb::usb_device*)':
usbwrap.cc:404: error: 'desc' was not declared in this scope
usbwrap.cc:404: error: invalid use of undefined type 'struct Usb::usb_device'
usbwrap.h:53: error: forward declaration of 'struct Usb::usb_device'
make[1]: *** [usbwrap.lo] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/user/Desktop/barry-0.6/src'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
it looks there is a problem related to my usb, but i have no idea how to figure out how to solve it. i have attached below the whole make install output so you can have all the infos.
It looks like you don't have the libusb-devel package installed; you need that to actually compile the source. I'm not an Ubuntu dude, but 'apt-get install libusb-devel' should probably do it for you.
you're the MAN dude!!!!!! sorry if i replay so late(had to work),i tried your advice .you were right that package was neccesary for the install. thanks!!!!! starting really enjoining this forum (speccially the linux corner).
