Default Change IP address and now can't add user from remote Manager

Please Login to Remove!

Subject says it all really, we moved our test BES from a test IP Address to a production one. No other changes at all, just stopped all the services, changed the address and restarted them.

All is going fine with one wee problem, the Berry Manager software i have on my workstation will let me do everything except "Add User", i get the message "Remote system no longer responding". Once the user is added, using the manager direct on the BES then everything else can be done remotely.

Also the desktop manager i have installed has similar issues logging into the messaging system. It will forward to a cradled BB with no issues.

For a change in IP address of BES, what you should have done before using the remote BlackBerry Manager are these...

Either:-

(1) On the workstation where your remote Manager is installed, in the Notes client, do a File > Database > Open and at least try to open a database on the BES successfully.

OR

(1) On the workstation where your remote Manager is installed, in the Notes client, do a File > Database > Open by using the NEW ip address for the server and at least try to open a database on the BES successfully.

Yours is Domino client-to-server access issue rather than a BlackBerry one.

Spot on, there was an entry in my private address book with a connection document pointing to the old address. Removed that and all is now fine.

Didn't think it was a berry issue.
