CM was and still is the bomb diggity for password keeping. Fast and lightweight, though not without quirks (particularly the desktop app). No support? No matter. The new kid in town is KeePass for BlackBerry. THE bomb diggity password keeping app for now and the forseeable future. Give it a shot .

Because of the support issues (and no code for a new BB) I migrated to Ascendo Datavault on/for my Bold. Got a good competitive upgrade price, and the data migration was fairly painless (including catagories etc).

Hi, I'd also tried for the last 10 days but no sucess to get a new key.
The two last e-mail addresses I tried at least did not bounce. Let's see.

Most of the BB Software vendors, such as Handango, are able to provide new keys also. Whether or not they have key generators or they contact the authors themselves, I do not know.

When I switched from my 8800 to my Bold, Handango handled my new CryptMagic keys, along with the majority of other software purchased through them.

If I recall correctly, the CryptMagic client has a semi-automated update request built into it. That failed for me too. I also purchased direct from the author (not via Handango) so have no proof of purchase from any third party.

I was also less happy to be be using a commercial product for which there seemed to be no support available any more (for me, anyway).

Those issues together influenced my decision to migrate to something else.

That really sucks because it's a great little program. I purchased it from Handango a while back and they just gave me a new code for my Bold today after emailing support since Marek isn't around. One of the reasons that it's good to buy from Handango.

Good Luck

Default Cryptmagic

I had Cryptmagic, but when my Pearl blitzed, and I had to reinstall software, including Cryptmagic, I couldn't get it to install. I contacted Cryptmagic without success. I waited weeks with no results, and then decided to try DataVault. I bit the bullet and paid their fee and have never been happier. It works better than Cryptmagic, and when I changed to the BB Bold, it installed on without incident. My rule is that if a software manufacturer does not respond with a week, I dump them and get something else from another manufacturer.

I had the same issue. When I got my BOLD I needed a new key code for my PIN. No response and the emails I sent could not be delivered. Went to DataVault. It is better but would have been happy not to spend the extra money.

Did it import your cryptmagic database?

/edit

Like others have said and tried.. try DataVault! There is a free 30 day trial of this software which can import the cryptmagic database along with tons of others.. AND works pretty well on the 9530 Storm:

Data Vault - Comprehensive Password Management for BlackBerry and Windows
