Default 8900 wifi problem

hey guys.... i purchased a 8900 a few months back... unlocked it and am currently using it on att... i have had no issue with it... when at home it connects to the wifi perfect... i was planning to go on vaction out of america... so i didnt want to turn my mobile connection on and incur all the roaming data and talking charges... so when i was in america... i was able to send and recieve emails and bbm by leaving the mobile network off and just using the wifi (in america)... so now i got to turks and caicos... the wifi on my computer and ipod works... but for some reason my damn blackberry isnt getting email of bbms.... anyone have any advise for me???

Try battery pull or reset: ALT+(right)CAPS+DEL

So I understand you have your mobile network off and you are expecting push email to work as it is?

I doubt that would work with AT&T. I may be wrong but I still doubt. But you should still be able to connect to the WiFi network and check mails using the WAP site of the mail server (if it exists).

Have you tried re-registering it with the Carrier? Options-Advanced Options-Host Routing Tables. Once in there press Menu and register.

when i go to wifi tools, then wifi diagnostics, it says vpn disabled. also, uma says isp network error.
it also says error code w010

AT&T does not use UMA, so call features and message features specific to UMA will not work.
