Ok now on the line with RIM support.. been escalated by AT&T support. I feel special.. get to chat with random people as I work during the day... luckily at my desk... He did seem to know about the issue and the symptons.. like data out but not in... etc. Now on hold ...

It's just then opposite for me. When I'm on WiFi, my browser works fine. It's when I go to Edge is when I lose my connectivity.

UPDATE:
They told it is "all clear" and I could pull my battery.. wait 30 seconds.. reboot.. then regisiter....

1.) Told Pull battery
2.) wait 30 seconds
3.) Install battery
4.) on main screen.. go to register now.. under advanced options -> Host Routing Table-> (Menu) Register now

And it......works!!!

He said it should be resolved!

Thumbs down Well get used to it...

Get used to it, Blackberry doesn't care. This is becoming the norm rather than a rarity like it was.

Not resolved here, yet.

It's annoying, but I'm not going to be dumping RIM or T-Mobile any time soon. This is my fourth Blackberry, all of them have lasted the minumum two years (just 12 months in on the 8900), and this is the first outage that I can remember that's completely affected my data for the majority of a day. No big deal.

Default No big deal unless...

The reason we have the Blackberry units is to allow our staff to receive work orders in the field. Today we probably lost 2 man hours per person (x40) by having to drive to locations with fax machines. The data we sent to our staff contains serial numbers and about 50kb of data codes to enter into the service software - Too much to tell someone over the phone. We rely on the BB's to service our customers and today we fell short by about 4 customers. Hope tomorrow is better.
PS: This is the 5th outage of some extent so far in 2010 that I can remember.

Default Sorry it did not work...

I would definitly call your provider (especially if AT&T) and get it escalated to RIM. He did not tell me if he unlocked me specifically or that it was fixed globally... I just realized that.

I would call them, because he apparently had them do something on their end to fix my connection. It did not take too long either. They will create a case number and give you a call-back number if the issue comes back.

Good luck....

Hey, so all of a sudden I started to receive my pin messages and resent service books for the emails and everything is currently up and running. I did not have to call service provider. So im pretty sure the issue is going to be resolved globally. Anyone else still having an issue?

This is one way to prevent the "datapocalypse"...just don't give us any data.

I'm still out, as well. If I stay on wifi/uma I'm ok. If I switch to EDGE then I still get nothing.

Running a Mobile Network Diagnostics reports back no PIN-PIN.

I don't even always get data when I'm *on* wifi. This is getting very old.

Well, my phone bumped off of UMA to just showing EDGE but still connected to wifi. I agree it's getting old. I'm trying to talk with someone via BBM and it is dropping in mid sentence.

I've been fine all day, but within the last half hour things started to get dodgy. I seem to be doing better with EDGE than WiFi, however, even though the computer I'm writing this on is on WiFi, and is having no problems.
