Attempting to use Switch Devices to switch from my old 9800 to my new 9810, when I attempt to backup my 9800 current device data I receive the message:

"The loader was unable to fully backup the following device databases:
[On-Board Device Memory] 0 of 1 entries retrieved."

Should I continue the process or does this problem need to be addressed in order to switch devices properly ?

The only restriction on using the old memory card is possible encryption of the media. doing a device switch is supposed to move all the data. If its not encrypted then your all set.
If you run into issues reusing the micro card it may be easier to just buy a new one.
You can also plug the old BB into the PC and connect to it as a drive and move data to your PC .

Good luck with the new phone.

Thanks !

I am fine with using the old memory card on the new device. The data is not encrypted that I know of. I may eventually buy more external memory for media files but for right now 4 GB seems plenty.

Please see my last message in this thread before this reply. I am getting an error doing the device switching. Is this error going to prevent me from migrating anything I need from the old device to the new device ? If not I can ignore it. If it does I need some way to workaround the error in order to migrate my information to my new 9810.
