Default Opera Mini takes very long before loading a page

Please Login to Remove!

Are there more people who have the problem that Opera Mini takes very long before loading a page, when inserting a URL or clicking on a link?

It looks like the firewall or something else wants to check all kind of things.

When using the BB browser or the Bolt Browser for instance, they start immediately loading a page.

Is there something to do about it?

my opera mini takes an eternity to load pages as well, rendering it completely useless in my book. i only keep it because it will load certain pages better once in a blue moon. i really hope Bolt lives up to its potential

Bolt is a lot faster with loading pages. The only thing I miss, is the zoom function, Bolt has splitscreen but I would like the zooming such as in Opera.

I just switched over to Opera Mini and love it. The reason is that it loads pages much quicker on my 8310. Also I feel like I'm really browsing the web as opposed to the BB browser. Not sure why it's taking longer to load pages for you unless you're requesting certain URL's that are not going to work well with the Opera browser. I have found at least once such page that won't load at all.

It's with all the URL's I request, Bolt and the BB browser start loading the same pages a lot faster.

The pages are loading quick enough with Opera but the problem is that it takes a while before it starts loading a page.

I have found Oper Mini to be no faster than the default browser in 4.5, but the default browser is much better when putting data in input fields.

So I uninstalled Opera.

I like Opera the best of all the 3rd party browsers but it is really annoying with the time-out before it starts loading a page... It takes to long imho

Tip: Change your Opera settings to connect via socket protocol rather than HTTP; it works much faster.

I've just updated my OS from 0.55 to 0.110 and now it seems faster with starting to load a page, looks like the firewall is faster with controlling.
