Default Sent Emails in Outlook - can Redirector/Reconcile do this?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got an 8130 Pearl from Verizon and am trying to test out the Outlook syncing functions.

I do not have BES or Exchange. I just have the Redirector loaded up.

Is there any way to get the messages sent from the blackberry to the Outlook Sent folder?

I MUST have this functionality.

Anyone know if this is possible? I saw some setting about this and I enabled it so how can I get them to sync?

I don't care if it is the wireless network sync through verizon, or when I plug in the USB. I just want it to work.

Is this possible without BES or Exchange?

there is an application currently in development that will do this.

Thanks for that suggestion.

So is it a definite that the Desktop Sync, Redirector, or BIS will NOT sync a sent folder from the blackberry to the desktop? I've tried both IMAP and POP3 with no luck.

Does anyone know for sure that the sent folder cannot sync itself without BES or Exchange?

Whilst BIS won't reconcile the Sent Items folder it can place a copy of messages sent on your BB into the Sent Items folder on the server. This certainly works with OWA that I use, although I don't know for sure about IMAP. I think it does IMAP but not POP3.

Any tips on how to set this up? I currently have Verizon with plain Outlook. No BES or Exchange.

I don't understand this. I use the redirector and a copy of everything that I send from the BB shows in my Outlook Sent Folder.

Am I missing something?

Redirector should do it, IIRC. You can fake it with POP and BIS if you autobcc yourself and set up a rule to move autobcc'ed messages into your Sent Items folder.

With BIS, using IMAP, on an exchange server (my setup) your sent messages from the BB will end up in your Sent folder on the server, so you'll see them when you're in Outlook on your PC.

Ok, so some of you were right and I have made some progress. Please note, I do not have BES or Exchange.

With the redirector alone, I can currently receive messages and the sent messages from my BB show up on the desktop outlook.

Not sure how reliable the redirector alone is going to be.

The problem I was having is that I had the email accounts set up through the BIS, or whatever Verizon offers as the online system. So the redirector wasn't working as planned since the emails were coming in directly.

What is odd is that I tried to send myself an email with an attachment as a .jpg and a .txt and I couldn't open them. I forwarded the email to my girlfriend who has the same phone and she could. The difference is that she isn't using director, but her email set up directly through Verizon.

Trying to get over these quirks.

Anyone know if there is a way to create separate email inbox icons when using redirector for different email accounts?

I don't recall doing anything special here; just plugged the account info into BIS setup and it worked. As I said earlier, these are OWA accounts though.
